Stats: Kohli becomes most successful Indian batsman in the series

Statistical highlights of the third day's play in the fourth and final cricket Test between India [ Images ] and Australia [ Images ] in Adelaide on Thursday.

# Wriddhiman Saha and Virat Kohli [ Images ] put on 114-run partnership for the sixth wicket -- India's third best at Adelaide -- the top two are 188 between Vijay Hazare and Dattu Phadkar in January 1948 and 147 between Yashpal Sharma and Sandeep Patil in January 1981.

# India's highest ever sixth wicket stand against Australia is 298 (unbroken) between Ravi Shastri and Dilip Vengsarkar in Mumbai [ Images ] in 1986-87. Overall nine century stands have been recorded for this wicket-position for India against Australia.
