Team India [Images] is in a peculiar situation.
Having suffered successive away drubbings against England [Images] and Australia [Images], Mahendra Singh Dhoni's [Images] team also failed to beat the former in their own backyard last year, in the process losing a first series on home soil in eight years.
Now the prospect of a second successive home loss looms large as Australia have come calling.
With the first Test getting underway in Chennai on Friday, the home side has played it safe and opted for a rank turner.
Will India get it past the Aussies? Or will the visitors plot another upset?
Discuss the first Test, with India Abroad's Bikash Mohapatra on Rediff ZaraBol at 5.30 pm.
