Dhawan unlikely to open batting in 2nd innings

India's latest cricket sensation, Shikhar Dhawan is unlikely to open the batting in India's second innings after injuring his hand while fielding on Day 4 of the third Test in Mohali.

Dhawan had to go off the field on Day 4 after injuring his left hand while fielding and he didn't take the field on the fifth and final day of the match.

Resuming on 75 for three, Australia have taken the lead which means India will need to bat in their second innings if they manage to bowl out the visitors with overs in hand.

Ajinkya Rahane is the subsitute fielder for Dhawan.

The left-hander shone with the bat as he smashed a quickfire century on his debut. He blasted 187 from 174 balls to register the highest score by an Indian batsman on debut.

Australia captain Michael Clarke is suffering from a sore back but he came out to bat at No. 6 on day five as they look to bat out the final day and salvage a draw.
