The Madhya Pradesh [ Images ] Cricket Association would felicitate legendary batsman and Wisden Special award winner Mushtaq Ali on his 90th birthday on Friday.
Former President of the BCCI, Raj Singh Dungarpur [ Images ] andĀ former India [ Images ] skipper Chandu Borde [ Images ] would specially honour the great cricketer at a function at Usharaje Cricket grounds in Indore.
Born on December 17, 1914 in Indore, Ali was the first Indian to score a century away from home, a feat which he achieved in England [ Images ] in 1936.
When greeted on the occasion, Ali said, "Long live India and long live Indian cricket".
