Nagpur schoolboy scores unbeaten 461

Ali Zoren Khan scaled a peak even his idol Sachin Tendulkar couldn't at his age.

The 15-year-old created a record of sorts on Friday by scoring an unbeaten 461 for Nagpur Cricket Academy against Reshimbag Cricket Club in an inter-academy tournament, conducted by the Vidarbha Cricket Association.

Unbeaten on 364 on Day 1 of the two-day tie, Khan's knock spanned seven hours. He faced 308 balls and hit 64 fours and 12 sixes.

The left-hander, who is a Class X student of Saraswati Vidyalaya, eclipsed the highest score by an Indian schoolboy -- 439 by Mumbai's Sarfaraz Khan in a Harris Shield match in November 2009.

Nagpur Cricket Academy, who resumed on Day 2 at 805 for 4, went on to amass 1,025 for the loss of five wickets in 125 overs before declaring.

Khan was not the only batsman to get into three figures. There were three others.
