IPL II to kickstart in Mumbai March 06, 2009 16:32 IST The opening match and the formal inauguration of the second season of the Indian Premier League [Images] (IPL) is to be held in Mumbai [Images] on April 10, IPL sources said. As per the original schedule issued by the organisers of the T20 league, Jaipur [Images] was to host the inaugural ceremony and the opener between first edition winners, Rajasthan Royals [Images] and Delhi Daredevils [Images]. But the schedule had to be reworked following security concerns in the wake of the terror attack on the Sri Lanka [Images] cricket team in Lahore [Images] and clashing of tournament dates with the general elections. The revised schedule will be announced later, IPL sources said. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
