Australia [Images] fast bowler Brett Lee [Images] has been left out of the squad for the tour match against Northamptonshire starting on Friday, Cricket Australia said on Thursday.
Lee missed the first two Ashes Tests with a rib injury and Australia's most experienced seamer now looks unlikely to play in next week's third match of the series in Birmingham.
Australia are resting captain Ricky Ponting [Images], batsman Michael Clarke [Images] and wicketkeeper Brad Haddin for the three-day game against Northamptonshire. Michael Hussey [Images] will lead the side.
