England's [Images] Chris Broad was on Wednesday named match referee for India's one-day series against Sri Lanka [Images], starting later this month.

South Africa's [Images] Brian Jerling has been named the on-field umpire.

Jerling will stand in all the five matches along with local appointments, the ICC [Images] said in a statement.

The five-match series between India and Sri Lanka gets underway in Dambulla on January 28.

Meanwhile, Sri Lanka's Roshan Mahanama will oversee the five ODIs between Australia [Images] and New Zealand [Images], starting February 1.

Controversial West Indian Steve Bucknor [Images] will stand in all five matches with local appointments.
