Skipper Aakash Chopra led from front with a brilliant 95 to help Delhi [Images] beat Services by six wickets and book a berth in the quarterfinals of the Ranji Trophy tournament in Una, Himachal Pradesh [Images] on Monday.

Delhi and Himachal Pradesh, with four wins each, have qualified from North Zone for the last-eight stage of the competition.

Himachal Pradesh, who were already assured of a quarter-final berth, lost their inconsequential match to Punjab today in Dharamsala.

Chasing 232 to win, Chopra batted beautifully and kept one end safe till he offered a caught and bowl chance to Abhishek Sinha to miss a well deserved century. Chopra hit 12 boundaries in his innings.

Mithun Manhas played a useful knock of 54 runs for the visitors.

Earlier, Services scored 231 for the loss of eight wickets after winning the toss and riding on twin half-centuries by Yashpal Singh (57) and Tahir Khan (55).

Yogesh Nagar was the pick of the bowlers for Delhi, claiming three wickets.

Brief scores:

Services: 231 for the loss of 8 wickets in 50 overs. (Yashpal Singh 57, Tahir Khan 55; Yogesh Nagar 3/55). Delhi: 233 for 4 wickets in 45.5 overs (Aakash Chopra 95, Mithun Minhas 54; Abhishek Sinha 2/33).
