Delhi makes Ranji QFs from North Zone February 23, 2009 23:55 IST Skipper Aakash Chopra led from front with a brilliant 95 to help Delhi [Images] beat Services by six wickets and book a berth in the quarterfinals of the Ranji Trophy tournament in Una, Himachal Pradesh [Images] on Monday. Delhi and Himachal Pradesh, with four wins each, have qualified from North Zone for the last-eight stage of the competition. Himachal Pradesh, who were already assured of a quarter-final berth, lost their inconsequential match to Punjab today in Dharamsala. Chasing 232 to win, Chopra batted beautifully and kept one end safe till he offered a caught and bowl chance to Abhishek Sinha to miss a well deserved century. Chopra hit 12 boundaries in his innings. Mithun Manhas played a useful knock of 54 runs for the visitors. Earlier, Services scored 231 for the loss of eight wickets after winning the toss and riding on twin half-centuries by Yashpal Singh (57) and Tahir Khan (55).
