Indian, Australian teams arrive in Mohali

October 14, 2008 22:30 IST

Indian and Australian cricket teams arrived in Mohali on Tuesday night to play the second match of the four-match Test series at Mohali beginning Friday.

The Indian team's arrival from the airport to the team hotel got delayed by over 30 minutes following breakdown of the bus in which they were traveling.

The Aussies, led by Ricky Ponting [Images] will be playing their first Test match at the Mohali ground.

Immediately after their arrival, Mathew Hayden, Stuart Clark and Brad Haddin headed straight to Taj Hotel's 'Dera' restaurant, famous for its range of Indian vegetarian and non-vegetarian cuisine.

India's champion batsman Sachin Tendulkar [Images], who is just a few runs short of becoming the highest run getter in Tests, also went to the 'Dera' to beat the hunger.
