Pakistan have placed young batsmen Khalid Latif and Khurrum Manzoor on standby for this month's one-day series against the West Indies [Images].

The two have been shortlisted as potential replacements for senior batsman Mohammad Yousuf [Images] and opener Nasir Jamshed who were named in the Abu Dhabi-bound squad on Monday.

Pakistan play three one-day internationals against West Indies from Nov. 12-16.

"We are still waiting from final word from Yousuf on whether he has gone to India to join the Indian Cricket League while Jamshed is still not properly recovered from a bout of malaria he suffered recently," Pakistan coach Intikhab Alam said.
