It is not every day that an era ends. One ended this Sunday, when Anil Kumble [Images] heeded the urgent messages his body was sending him, and decided to end a career that has spanned 19 years and 43 Test wins. As he walks off into the sunset with the same composure and dignity that has marked his career, all we are left with are memories - of an unassuming gentleman who let his deeds do the talking.
