A fine all-round performance by Naved-ul Hassan helped Lahore [Images] Badshahs score a seven-wicket victory over local favourites Chandigarh Lions in the ICL's T20 match played in Panchkula, Haryana, on Sunday night.

Chasing a modest 137 by the Lions, who elected to bat after winning the toss, former Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul Haq-led Badshahs were powered by Naved's unbeaten half century and reached the target with four overs to spare.

Naved, who came one down, played freely and consumed only 33 balls for his blazing 50, which was studded with six boundaries and a six.

Earlier, Naved, who was adjudged man-of-the-match, also came good with his medium pace bowling, returning figures of 4-0-21-1.

Naved steadied the innings after Badshahs lost openers Imran Nazir [Images] (18) and Imran Farhat [Images] (22) with scoreboard reading 2-45. He had a useful partnership with Shahid Yousuf (28) and after his fall, led his team to victory with Khalid Mehmood, who remained not out on 15.

For Lions, Ishan Malhotra, who was involved in a minor accident last night, took two wickets.

Barring T P Singh (28) and an unbeaten knock by Lou Vincent (33), the Lions batsmen failed to accelerate the innings and ended with 136-6 on the board which in the end proved an easy target for the Badshahs.

Badshahs now have three wins from six matches while the Lions also have three wins from equal number of outings.
