Australia elect to bat in first final

Australia won the toss and elected to bat in the first of the best of three finals against India in the CB tri-series in Sydney on Sunday.

On the Sydney track, known for providing help to spinners, India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni [Images] picked leg-spinner Piyush Chawla instead of pacer Munaf Patel [Images].

Australia also made one change from the team that was beaten by Sri Lanka [Images] in their last match, bringing in opener Matthew Hayden [Images] in place of Brad Haddin.

India: Mahendra Singh Dhoni (captain), Sachin Tendulkar [Images], Gautam Gambhir [Images], Robin Uthappa, Yuvraj Singh [Images], Rohit Sharma, Praveen Kumar, Irfan Pathan [Images], Harbhajan Singh [Images], Ishant Sharma, Piyush Chawla.
