Pacer S Sreesanth [Images] was on Tuesday ruled out of the Asia Cup later this month as he has not fully recovered from the left external oblique injury sustained during the Indian Premier League [Images].

Sreesanth, who missed the Bangladesh tri-series and was in doubt for the Asia Cup to be held in Pakistan from June 24, was found unfit for the tournament beginning on June 24 and has been advised two weeks rest.
"According to BCCI physio Paul Close at NCA, Sreesanth was declared unfit for Asia Cup. His bowling rehabilitation programme will start on June 23 and he requires further two weeks of rehabilitation before full recovery," BCCI Secretary Niranjan Shah said in a release.
Sreesanth had suffered a left side strain in Kings XI Punjab's [Images] last IPL league game against the Rajasthan Royals [Images] at Mohali on May 28.
