Leg-spinner Amit Mishra wrecked South Africa with a three-wicket haul to guide India to a 12-run win in the Twenty20 match of the quadrangular Emerging Players tournament in Australia on Monday.

Batting first, India were in trouble losing the top half for just 32 before Skipper S Badrinath (37 off 38 balls) and Ravindra Jadeja (20 off 35 balls) joined hands to stitch together a fifty-plus partnership to prop up the innings even though 87 did not look a decent total.

The South Africans began well with their opening pair putting on 36 runs before leggie Mishra turned the match on its head with his triple strike and the South Africans were shot out for 75.

Mishra finished with impressive figures of three for 11 in his four overs. He got good support from Manpreet Gony (1-13), Dhaval Kulkarni (1-16) and Ravindra Jadeja (1-17).
