The International Cricket Council failed to reach a decision on taking any action against the troubled Zimbabwe board at its annual conference in Dubai on Thursday.

Divided over calls to suspend the Zimbabwe board, the ICC [Images] executive board pushed the debate into Friday after failing to find a solution at the end of its scheduled two-day meeting.

"The ICC Board had a lengthy discussion on the matter of Zimbabwe and at the conclusion of that discussion it was decided to adjourn and reassemble at 0900 on Friday July 4," the board said in a statement.

Zimbabwe cricket is reeling from a depleted squad and questions over its board's accounts amidst violence in the country after last week's presidential election run-off.

England [Images] lead the call to suspend Zimbabwe from full ICC membership, reserved for the 10 Test-playing nations, after severing bilateral ties last week following a directive from the British government.
