Oram out of second Twenty20 v England February 06, 2008 16:10 IST New Zealand [Images] all-rounder Jacob Oram [Images] has been ruled out of his side's second Twenty20 against England [Images] on Thursday after straining a hamstring in the first match. Oram top-scored for New Zealand with 61 in their 32-run loss at Eden Park in Auckland on Tuesday but strained his hamstring while bowling. "I have a wee bit of a sore hamstring. It's not completely torn and it's not overly bad," Oram told reporters on Wednesday. "It's similar to what I did in South Africa (last November) where I missed a test match but it's nowhere near as bad as that, thankfully." Oram said he would have liked to play at Lancaster Park solely as a batsmen but the team management had decided not to risk exacerbating the injury ahead of the five one-day internationals and three-test series against England. New Zealand are already without regular captain Daniel Vettori [Images] for Thursday's match in Christchurch due to an ankle injury, which also sidelined him in Auckland. He trained with the team on Wednesday in a bid to prove his fitness for the opening one-day match in Wellington on Saturday.
