India elect to bat against Sri Lanka

Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni [Images] won the toss and elected to bat against Sri Lanka [Images] in the second match of theĀ  tri-series at the Gabba in Brisbane on Tuesday.

Left-hander Yuvraj Singh [Images] returned to the side in place of Manoj Tiwary and Sri Lanka's Sanath Jayasuriya was ruled fit to play despite requiring stitches to his chin after being hit in one of the warm-ups.

The first match of the tournament, between India and Australia, was washed due to heavy rain on Sunday.

Sri Lanka: Mahela Jayawardene [Images] (captain), Upul Tharanga, Sanath Jayasuriya, Kumar Sangakkara, Tillakaratne Dilshan, Chamara Silva, Chamara Kapugedera, Chaminda Vaas [Images], Lasitha Malinga, Ishara Amerasinghe, Muttiah Muralitharan.
