Clark withdraws from first ODI

Ashley Noffke and Adam Voges have been added to the Australian squad for Sunday's opening tri-series one-day international against India in Brisbane.

Noffke, an all-rounder, was called into the squad as a replacement for paceman Stuart Clark, who has withdrawn from the match for family reasons.

Clark is expected to rejoin the squad for their next match in Sydney next week, Cricket Australia said in a statement.

Voges, a top-order batsmen, was added to the squad on standby in case either Ricky Ponting [Images] or Matthew Hayden [Images] is ruled out with injury.

Ponting and Hayden both missed Friday's nine-wicket demolition of India in the Twenty20 clash in Melbourne but are hopeful of playing in Brisbane.

Ponting has been struggling with a back problem since the last Test against India in Adelaide while Hayden is recovering from a hamstring strain at the start of the month.

"I reckon I'm 90 (per cent) plus chance to play," Ponting said.

"Both of us will need to have a bit of a run round tomorrow I imagine to prove our fitness.

"The Twenty20 fixture was a really good start for us and we wanted to set the tone for the whole summer with our one-day cricket."
