India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni [Images] was, on Thursday presented a luxury car, Toyota Corolla, by Jharkhand Chief Minister Madhu Koda as his promised 'surprise gift' to him for winning the Twenty20 Championship.

The chief minister at a state felicitation handed over the car keys to Dhoni and a cheque for Rs five lakh.

Koda announced that Dhoni would be conferred upon with the Jharkhand Ratna Award, the highest honour of the state, on November 15, Jharkhand's foundation day.

Dhoni, after receiving the cheque, donated it to the chief minister's relief fund.

"It's not an individual effort. It is a team effort. That we won the Twenty20 was not a fluke has been proved after we trounced Australia in India," Dhoni said.
