The Board of Control for Cricket in India has instructed the coach selection committee to appoint a full-time coach within 10 days, Board secretary Nirajan Shah said in New Delhi on Friday.

Talking to the reporters, Mr Shah said, "The coach issue is under discussion. We have told the coach selection committee to handle the issue. It (selection issue) will be settled in ten days time."

The team is without a coach for the last seven months after former Aussie skipper Greg Chappell [Images] resigned from the post following India's shambolic exit from the Caribbean World Cup.

Meanwhile, the BCCI secretary also said that the squad for the crucial Australia tour will be decided during the course of the current Test series.

"The team for the Australia tour will be announced either at the end of Kolkata Test or Bangalore Test," he informed.
