Reddy helps Andhra draw with UP November 18, 2007 21:01 IST Last Updated: November 18, 2007 21:40 IST Prasad Reddy scored an unbeaten 103 as Andhra Pradesh ended their second innings at 213 for five and drew their Ranji Trophy Super League match against Uttar Pradesh in Anantpur on Sunday. Facing a target of 270 runs, hosts Andhra lost the early wicket of Hemal Watekar, who made five. Reddy, who scored 132 runs in the first innings, showed his great form and hit another ton in 156-balls, with the help of 16 boundaries. He received valuable support from S K Varma, who made 89 runs with 14 fours. For the visitors, S Tyagi took three wickets. Tyagi had claimed six wickets in Andhra's first innings. Earlier, Uttar Pradesh, resuming their second innings at the score of 103 reached 297 with the help of Captain Mohammed Kaif's unbeaten knock of 122. Ravikant Shukla, who made 99 runs in the first innings, however, disappointed in the second innings losing his wicket for a meager five runs. While Uttar Pradesh scored 298 runs in its first innings, Andhra made 326. Andhra got three points on the basis of the first innings lead and Uttar Pradesh obtained one.
