Panned for claiming to be professional and still not having a portal of its own, the Board of Control for Cricket in India on Monday invited bids for its website.

In the bid, the Board seeks to appoint a 'reputed company of international standing' to acquire the web portal rights from January 1, 2008 to December 31, 2011.

Bid documents can be obtained from BCCI office at Wankhede Stadium from Thursday 1000 hrs onwards for a non-refundable and non-adjustable amount of Rs five lakh and the bid must be submitted by 1200 hrs on November 17, after which the BCCI Marketing Sub Committee will open the tender.

The winning bidder would design, develop, host and operate the 'best breed of web portal', the tender notice read.
