Central Zone batsman Suresh Raina has been ruled out of the entire Ahmedabad-leg of Deodhar Trophy due to a knee injury, which he sustained in the Ranji Trophy one-dayers recently, official sources said.

"Raina has been ruled out because of the knee injury and will be replaced by Ravikant Shukla for the first two one-dayers," Central Zone team manager Gyandera Pandey told media persons in Ahmedabad this evening.

The middle-order batsman will therefore not feature in Sunday's day-and-night match against West Zone at the Sardar Patel stadium at Motera here.

Raina will also miss the second match against North Zone on February 27.

"Raina will be missed tomorrow, because he was in good form in the recent domestic games," said Central Zone captain Mohammad Kaif.
