Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president Sharad Pawar [Images] doused speculation for the time being, saying that Dilip Vengsarkar was still the Chairman of selectors and that his future would be decided on December 16.

Pawar held a press conference in New Delhi on Tuesday to announce that the working committee would meet in Mumbai on December 16 to take a decision on whether Vengsarkar will continue as chief selector.

Vengsarkar had expressed disappointment over the treatment by the Board, saying that he felt like dirt when Pawar asked whether he was letting the other selectors also watch international matches.

The feud between the BCCI and Vengsarkar began when the Board asked him to stop writing columns in newspapers and has spiraled into a mud-slinging match between the two parties.

Pawar said on Tuesday that he would request Vengsarkar to reconsider his stand and added that the former Mumbai batsman for still the "chairman of selectors" for him.
