Satyajit Parab rallies Baroda December 01, 2007 20:45 IST Baroda amassed 318 runs for the loss of nine wickets in their first innings on Day One of the Ranji Trophy match against Uttar Pradesh in Lucknow on Saturday. Baroda had a bad start as medium pacer Praveen Kumar drew first blood in the form of skipper Connor Williams's wicket. But they rallied thereafter through a second wicket stand of 119 runs between Satyajit Parab (71) and Azhar Bilakhia (48). Yusuf Pathan (37) and Irfan Pathan [Images] (57) later came up with entertaining knocks to swell Baroda's total. For the hosts team, Praveen Kumar, Piyush Chawla and Suresh Raina claimed three wickets each.
