Australia's Adam Gilchrist [Images] became the first player to reach the milestone of 400 dismissals in one-day internationals on Sunday.

Sachin Tendulkar [Images] became his 400th victim as the batsman edged paceman Glenn McGrath in the 10th over of the Indian innings in the Group A match of the ICC [Images] Champions Trophy at PCA stadium in Mohali.

Playing his 245th ODI, the 34-year-old wicketkeeper became the first player to reach the landmark. His tally reads 355 catches and 45 stumpings.

Incidentally, he made his one-day international debut in India, against South Africa at Faridabad in October 1996.

South Africa's Mark Boucher [Images] is second in the list with 331 dismissals to his credit.
