Scorecard

Bangladesh captain Habibul Bashar won the toss and elected to bat against the West Indies [Images] in the Champions Trophy qualifier at the Sawai Mansingh stadium in Jaipur on Wednesday.

Bangladesh, who must win the match to stay in the tournament, retained the squad that lost to Sri Lanka [Images] in the tournament opener at Mohali on Saturday.

The West Indies made one change from the team that beat Zimbabwe in their first match at Ahmedabad on Sunday, with pacer Corey Collymore replacing Dwayne Smith, who is yet to recover fully from a viral fever.

Ramnaresh Sarwan [Images], who had also contracted the virus, was declared fit and included in the team.

Runako Morton, another player suffering from the infection, had also recovered and was named the 12th man.

But the Windies had a worry with pace spearhead Fidel Edwards picking up the virus.

Windies media manager Imran Khan [Images] said at the start of the match that Edwards was advised to stay back in the hotel.

A victory today will put the Caribbean team through to the second stage of the tournament.
