The standoff between the International Cricket Council and the Gujarat Cricket Association over the state body's demand for Rs 1 crore as compensation for allotting 12 cabins to the apex cricket body was resolved on Sunday.

Following a fresh directive from the BCCI, the GCA reversed its stand of not allowing the ICC to take possesion of the plush cabins, meant to seat 200 representatives from sponsors and other guests during Champions Trophy matches.

"We decided to hand over the cabins to the ICC as we did not want the bitterness to carry too far. I spoke to Ratnakar Shetty, who is looking after the matter on behalf of the Board. He interacted with BCCI President Sharad Pawar and told me to allow the ICC take possesion of the cabins," GCA President Narhari Amin told PTI.

Amin, however, made it clear that GCA still stood by its demand for the compensation from the ICC as the state association had to reduce the capacity of the Motera stadium by 750 to make way for the cabins.

"Till now, the ICC has not made any commitment. It is keeping the matter pending," Amin said.
