Zimbabwe beat GCA in warm-up game October 05, 2006 20:55 IST Zimbabwe defeated Gujarat Cricket Association President's XI by 30 runs in a warm-up match ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy at Motera Stadium in Ahmedabad on Thursday. Replying to the visitors' total of 236 for 7 in 50 overs, GCA were all out for 206 in 48.2 overs. Opener Azhar Bilakhia (53) top-scored for the hosts while middle order batsman Bhavik Thakar contributed 37 runs. Stand-in Zimbabwean captain and off-spinner S Matsikanyeri claimed four wickets. Earlier in the day, GCA, led by Parthiv Patel, restricted the Africans to a modest total after putting them in.
