South Africa choose to bat

South African skipper Graeme Smith [Images] won the toss and elected to bat in the second semi-final of the Champions Trophy [Images] cricket tournament against West Indies [Images] in Jaipur [Images] on Thursday.

South Africa [Images] rung in two changes, bringing in Loots Bosman for Boeta Dippenaar and spinner Robin Peterson in place of fast bowler Charl Langveldt.

West Indies replaced Corey Collymore and Fidel Edwards with Dwayne Smith and Ian Bradshaw respectively.

Teams:

South Africa: Graeme Smith (capt), Herschelle Gibbs [Images], Loots Bosman, Jacques Kallis [Images], Mark Boucher [Images], Justine Kemp, Shaun Pollock [Images], AB de Villiers [Images], Robin Peterson, Andre Nel [Images] and Makhaya Ntini [Images].

West Indies: Chris Gayle, Shivnarine Chanderpaul [Images], Dwayne Bravo [Images], Ramnaresh Sarwan [Images], Runako Morton, Brian Lara [Images] (capt), Marlon Samuels, Dwayne Smith, Carlton Baugh, Ian Bradshaw and Jerome Taylor [Images].

Umpires: Simon Taufel and Aleem Dar.

Third Umpire: Darrell Harper.

Match Referee: Jeff Crowe.
