Tendulkar discharged from hospital

March 29, 2006 20:59 IST

Ace Indian batsman Sachin Tendulkar has made "good recovery" and been discharged from hospital, the surgeon who operated on him said on Wednesday.

"The operation was a complete success, and when I visited Sachin yesterday afternoon I was pleased to see that he has made a good recovery," Dr. Andrew Wallace, of the Hospital of

St. John and St. Elizabeth, said in a statement from London.

The orthopaedic surgeon said Tendulkar is beginning to feel more comfortable wearing a sling and was discharged from the hospital on Tuesday evening.

Tendulkar underwent arthroscopic surgery on Monday to stabilize his shoulder joint and reattach a damaged biceps tendon to his upper arm bone.

According to Wallace, the shoulder injury is not as serious as the tennis elbow he was afflicted by a year-and-a-half ago.

Sub: IS HE SERIOUSLY INJURED

Please clarify my doubt. Is he seriously injured?? Or just sidelined for poor performance? Well, he didnt play much to get injured.
