India's captain Rahul Dravid [Images] won the toss and elected to field in the third and final Test against England [Images] at the Wankhede stadium in Mumbai on Saturday.

The hosts, leading 1-0 in the series, made one change in their side, replacing leg-spinner Piyush Chawla [Images] with medium pacer S Sreesanth [Images].

For England, the injury list continued to grow as young opener Alastair Cook [Images] was ruled out due to a stomach bug. His place in the team will be taken by Owais Shah.

England also opted for an extra spinner in Shaun Udal to take advantage of the spin-friendly Mumbai track. He replaced all-rounder Liam Plunkett.

In another change, James Anderson replaced Steve Harmison.

Dravid, who was earlier in the morning named India's captain till the 2007 World Cup, became the sixth Indian player to figure in 100 Tests, thus joining a select band, comprising Sunil Gavaskar [Images], Kapil Dev [Images], Dilip Vengsarkar, Sachin Tendulkar [Images] and Anil Kumble [Images].

"The selectors met here last night and decided to appoint Dravid captain till the end of the 2007 World Cup," BCCI secretary Niranjan Shah said.

This will also be a special match for Tendulkar, who will surpass Dev as the most capped Indian Test player.

Teams:

India: Rahul Dravid (captain), Wasim Jaffer [Images], Virender Sehwag [Images], Sachin Tendulkar, Yuvraj Singh [Images], Mahendra Singh Dhoni [Images], Irfan Pathan [Images], S Sreesanth, Anil Kumble, Harbhajan Singh [Images] and Munaf Patel [Images].
