West Indies elect to bat in third Test

West Indies [Images] captain Brian Lara [Images] won the toss and elected to bat against India in the third Test at St Kitts on Thursday.

India made two changes in the line-up, Harbhajan Singh [Images] and S Sreesanth [Images] coming in place of VRV Singh and Irfan Pathan [Images].

The West Indies made one change from the team that played in the second Test, with Marlon Samuels replacing Ian Bradshaw.

The start was delayed by 2-1/2 hours due to a wet outfield, caused by overnight rain.

India: Rahul Dravid [Images] (captain), Virender Sehwag [Images], Wasim Jaffer [Images], VVS Laxman, Yuvraj Singh [Images], Mohammed Kaif, Mahendra Singh Dhoni [Images], Anil Kumble [Images], Harbhajan Singh, Sreesanth and Munaf Patel [Images].

West Indies: Brian Lara (captain), Chris Gayle, Daren Ganga [Images], Ramnaresh Sarwan [Images], Shivnarine Chanderpaul [Images], Dwayne Bravo [Images], Denesh Ramdin, Marlon Samuels, Corey Collymore, Pedro Collins and Jerome Taylor [Images].

Umpires: Brian Jerling (SA) and Rudi Koertzen (SA)

Match Referee: Jeff Crowe (NZ).
