Dalmiya re-elected CAB president

Jagmohan Dalmiya was tonight re-elected president of the Cricket Association of Bengal defeating Kolkata Police Commissioner Prasun Mukherjee, who was backed by Chief Minister Buddhadev Bhattacharjee.

Dalmiya secured 61 of the 117 votes while Mukherjee bagged 56.

The election was held after the annual general meeting of CAB at the Eden Gardens under court appointed observer Justice (retd) S K Phoujdar.
