Rolling Stones call for cricket

Cricket has found some rocking support from the Rolling Stones.

The bad boys of music, apparently, are sworn fans of the gentlemen's game and demanded for cricket in their dressing room during their concert trip to America.

The band will be packing their own snooker tables for the tour but the tour-riders papers obtained by thesmokinggun.com reveal that the local promoter has been asked to arrange for cricket to be shown in Mick Jagger's dressing room.

The eight-page list of requests, which is being used for the band's current "A Bigger Bang" tour and its stop at the Super Bowl halftime show next month, stipulates that though Jagger will apparently bring his own TV and VCR, "Cricket ... is the channel we need most of all."

Other demands include vases of white Casablanca lily arrangements with weeping eucalyptus, and space for a table to play snooker.
