Shah, Solanki hits tons for Baroda

Pinal Shah and Rakesh Solanki hit centuries to put Baroda at a strong 362 for 2 against Services on the second day of the Ranji Trophy Elite Group 'B' match in New Delhi on Wednesday.

Wicketkeeper-batsman Shah hit an unbeaten 177 from 317 balls with 21 boundaries, while Solanki made 107 from 172 deliveries with 13 boundaries.

Skipper Jacob Martin (40 not out) was at the other end at stumps.

Resuming the day at 82 for one, Solanki and Shah batted with responsibility and were involved in a 204-run second wicket partnership.

Solanki's innings came to an end when he was stumped by Sarabjit Singh off Amrinder Singh.

Skipper Jacob Martin joined in the party and hit five hits to the fence as he forged an unbroken114-run stand with Shah to help Baroda take command.

The Services are languishing at the bottom of the table of Group B and yet to open their account.
