Rajasthan bundled out for 201 February 03, 2006 00:08 IST Disciplined bowling by Saurashtra helped them bundle out Rajasthan for 201 on the opening day of their five-day Ranji Trophy plate division final at Madhavrao Scindia cricket ground in Rajkot on Thursday. Saurashtra were 36 for no loss in reply to the Rajasthan total. Kanaiya Vaghela was batting on 15 (47b, 2x4) and Sagar Jogiyani on 17 (35b, 3x4) when stumps were drawn. Earlier, Rajasthan skipper Ajay Jadeja won the toss and decided to bat first but the decision backfired with five of their top batsmen being sent back to the pavilion with just 91 runs on board. Jadeja himself came to the rescue of his team, making 71 runs off 121 balls with 11 fours in his 151-minute stay at the crease, to give some respect to the score. Rahul Kanwat 50 (58b, 10x4) and Nikhil Doru 31 (101b, 2x4) were other notable contributors for the visitors. S Maniar was the wrecker-in-chief for the hosts, taking five wickets for 59 runs including the prized wicket of Jadeja. It was Maniar's third consecutive five-wicket haul in as many matches. Mania triggered the collapse by removing opener Mithun Beerala for one. His new ball partner Sandip Jobanputra bagged two wickets while Rakesh Dhruv and Kamlesh Makwana had a wicket each.
