The fate of former Board of Control for Cricket in India president Jagmohan Dalmiya, facing charges of misappropriation of funds, will be decided at the Special General Body meeting of the Cricket Board in Jaipur on Saturday.

Dalmiya, also the president of Cricket Association of Bengal, had moved the Madras High Court seeking a stay on the meeting but his application was rejected earlier in the day.

The meeting, slated to take place at the palatial Rambagh Hotel, is expected to take a tough decision against Dalmiya, also a former president of the International Cricket Council.

BCCI secretary Niranjan Shah, who has already arrived in the city, refused to elaborate on the possible outcome of the meeting.

"We will study the facts before deciding what penalties would be imposed on Mr. Dalmiya. I cannot say now what will be the outcome or what punishment will be meted out to him. It is up to the members to decide on it," Shah told said.

When asked if any other matter like the issue of bowling coach or contract of players would be taken up at the meeting, Shah said it is a special meeting with a single point agenda.

"The meeting has only one-point agenda. As far as the statement of Dilip Vengsarkar, chairman of selection committee, is concerned [about appointing a bowling coach], I have already said that this may be his personal view. We have still not received any request from the team management."
