South Africa to pull out of tri-series: reports August 16, 2006 17:54 IST The South African team has pulled out of the triangular one-day series in Sri Lanka, according to reports on Wednesday. The South African players were not feeling very secure following a bomb explosion barely 2 km away from the team hotel on Monday and wanted to return back home. South African media manager Gordon Templeton, however, did not confirm the development. A media conference is scheduled to be held in the evening. It is also learnt that India and Sri Lanka would play a three or a five match bilateral series if South Africa pull out. "I have just received a telephone call from Mickey Arthur [coach] saying that the players are not very keen to continue the tour and they want to return home," South Africa's CEO Gerald Majola had said on Tuesday.
