Bachchan a die-hard fan of Dhoni April 26, 2006 21:40 IST Cricket's latest superstar Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan on Wednesday realised their cherished wish of meeting each other. It was a chance meeting between the two icons who were unaware that they were both shooting in the Film City. Bachchan, who was shooting for a Bhojpuri film 'Ganga', came to know that Dhoni was doing a commercial. A "die-hard" Dhoni fan, he promptly called up his co-star in the movie Manoj Tiwary who also happens to be the brother-in-law of the cricketer. Tiwary, in turn, called Dhoni who said it would not be proper for a person of the stature of 'Bachchan ji' to come down to him. He would himself come to meet the Bollywood superstar.
"I am now playing with Tendulkar and today I got a chance to meet you as well. I will always cherish this day of my life." Bachchan, on his part said, "I am your die-hard fan. I was desperate to meet you."
