Greg Chappell [Images], the Indian cricket team's coach, arrived in Mumbai on Wednesday evening to take up his new assignment.
The 57-year-old former Australia captain did not speak to the waiting media at the airport and proceeded to the domestic airport from where he boarded a flight to Bangalore, where he will be based.
Chappell replaced New Zealander John Wright [Images], who quit after the India-Pakistan series in April.
