Four Indians in World XI squads

Four Indians, including Sachin Tendulkar [Images] and Virender Sehwag [Images], were named in the ICC [Images] World X1 squads for the Super Series against Australia in October.

While Tendulkar, Sehwag and Rahul Dravid [Images] figure in the one-day and Test squads of 20 players, leg spinner Anil Kumble [Images] has been included in the Test squad only.

The ICC World XI ODI team will play three matches against World champions Australia, in Melbourne on October 5, 7 and 9.

The ICC Test team will play a six-day super Test in Sydney from October 14 to 19.

The squads:

Test: Andrew Flintoff [Images], Michael Vaughan [Images], Steve Harmison (England [Images]); Rahul Dravid, Virender Sehwag, Sachin Tendulkar, Anil Kumble (India); Brenden McCullum, Daniel Vettori [Images] (New Zealand [Images]); Shoaib Akhtar [Images], Inzamam-ul Haq, Younis Khan (Pakistan); Jaques Kallis, Mkhaya Ntini, Shaun Pollock [Images], Mark Bouncher, Graeme Smith [Images] (South Africa); Muttiah Muralitharan (Sri Lanka [Images]), Brian Lara [Images], Shivnarine Chanderpaul [Images] (West Indies [Images]).

ODI: Andrew Flintoff, Steve Harmison, Kevin Pieterson, Rahul Dravid, Virender Sehwag, Sachin Tendulkar, Brenden McCullum, Daniel Vettori, Shoaib Akhtar, Inzamam-ul Haq, Shahid Afridi [Images], Abdul Razzaq [Images], Jaques Kallis, Mkhaya Ntini, Shaun Pollock, Herschelle Gibbs [Images], Muttiah Muralitharan, Kumara Sangakkara, Brian Lara, Chris Gayle.
