Innings victory for East Zone

East Zone defeated Bangladesh XI by an innings and 149 runs in their Duleep Trophy match at VCA ground in Nagpur, on Thursday.

Bangladesh added 40 runs to their overnight score of 123 for eight, before losing the remaining two wickets in about an hour of play on the third day.

Abdur Razzaq was unbeaten on 58 as the rest of the batsmen folded without offering much support.

S S Paul, Ranadeb Bose and Sanjib Sanyal took three wickets each to help East Zone register the huge victory and collect five points from the match.

The Bangladesh XI next play Central Zone in Jaipur from March 1-4.
