The Indian under-19 team displayed all round superiority to steamroll England [Images] under-19 by ten wickets in the fourth match and clinch the five-match one-day series in Kolkata on Saturday.

After restricting the visitors to a paltry 174 for 9 in their 50 overs, the Indians colts rode on a brilliant unbroken opening wicket partnership between S Srikant (88 not out; 111m, 74b, 13 x 4, 3 x 6) and A Rawat (76 not out; 111m, 103b, 14 x 4) to reach 178 for no loss in only 29 overs.

India, who lost to England in the third match of the one day series yesterday, have now established an unbeaten 3-1 lead in the five-match series.

In the morning, the visitors had a trying time against the Indian slow bowlers after host skipper Manoj Tewari won the toss and elected to field at the Eden Gardens.

J Denley was the top scorer (80; 150m, 129b, 7 x 4) for the England colts, who found the Indian spinners R Sharma (3 for 34), Tewari (2 for 28) and S Nadeem (2 for 29) too hot to handle.

Brief scores:

England Under-19 : 174 for 9 in 50 overs (J Denley 80; R Sharma 3/34) lost to India Under-19: 178 for no loss in 29 overs (A Srikant not out 88, A Rawat not out 76).
