Reddy helps Hyderabad to big lead December 19, 2005 20:27 IST Hyderabad bundled Haryana out for 168 to gain a healthy first innings lead of 160 runs and were 168 for six at the close on the penultimate day of the Elite Group B Ranji Trophy match at the Rajiv Gandhi Uppal Stadium in Hyderabad on Monday. Resuming at overnight score of 106 for 5 in reply to hosts first innings score of 328, the visitors managed to add 62 runs more to their total. Hyderabad in the second essay were 168 runs for six, with a lead of 328 runs with four wickets in hand and one day to spare. I S Reddy was the most successful bowler for the hosts to claim four wickets for 40 runs. Narender Pal Singh, who joined 300 Ranji wicket club, dimissed P Sahu while Ojha claimed the wicekt of M Rawat on a day which saw the dominance of Hyderabad bowlers. Hyderabad's second innings started on a shaky start with the two openers returning to pavilion for 19 runs as Joginder Sharma picked up both the wickets. Anirudh Singh (23) and Arjun Yadav (17) tried to put up some stability, but Joginder accounted for both the batsmen taking his tally to four wickets in the innings. Vinay Kumar (6) and Kaushik Reddy (14) were sent back by spinner Amit Mishra. Ibrahim Kaleel (52) with four hits to the fence was at the crease along with P S Niranjan (38) at stumps today.
