The wicket of Chaminda Vaas in the second innings of the Delhi Test gave Kumble his 10^th wicket in the match on Wednesday.

This was the eighth occasion when Kumble picked up 10 or more wickets in a match, easily the best for India.

Fellow teammate Harbhajan Singh with three instances is at the second place. In fact only three bowlers in entire Test history have taken more 10-wicket hauls than Kumble as is evident from the following table:
