Putting rest to all speculation, the BCCI Working Committee confirmed on Sunday that the third and final Test between India and Sri Lanka [Images] has been switched from Kanpur to the Motera stadium in Ahmedabad.

The third Test will be played from December 18 to 22.

Kanpur conveyed its inability to conduct the Test because it was not given the possession of the stadium by the municipal authorities.

Mohali would now host the Test match against England [Images], which Ahmedabad was earlier slated to host. The one-dayer against England in Mohali would shift to Jamshedpur, BCCI sources said, after the meeting of the Working Committee concluded in Mumbai.

Recently-elected BCCI president Sharad Pawar [Images] also informed that the six-nation Asia Cup, to be played early next year, has been called off.

The tournament, to be held in Pakistan, was slated to be held from February 16-28 but it would now be organised at a later "mutually convenient" date, Pawar said.
